Safety Unit

The Safety Unit was established in the fall of 2017. It is composed of two safety officers that lock buildings down at prescribed times, per the academic building access policy. They perform safety walk-throughs of buildings where campus community members may remain during evening hours. The safety officers are in radio contact with VU police officers and dispatchers. This unit also performs other safety tasks as needed.
