Valpo Professional Educators Partnership Hosts 12th Annual Middle School Conference

WHO:  Valparaiso University’s Professional Educators Partnership (PEP) will host the 12th annual Middle School Conference.

The PEP Partnership is a grassroots project that works in collaboration between Valparaiso University’s teacher education faculty and educators in the K-12 community.

WHAT: The Middle School Conference will focus on educating teachers to successfully identify with their students through sponsored workshops featuring experts in the field. The conference will provide specific strategies on how to help children become independent, successful learners. The theme for this year’s Middle School Conference is Keeping Kids Motivated.

The keynote speaker for the event is award-winning educator Kim Campbell. Kim Campbell was a featured speaker at the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE) Conference and the keynote speaker at this year’s Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) Conference in Indianapolis.  Her most recent work examines the research on the brain development of adolescent boys with strategies to motivate them to achieve success in the classroom.
