Valpo Welcomes Award-Winning Author Lee Sandlin Saturday, Oct. 4

WHO: The Northwest Indiana Student Chapter of the American Meteorological Society presents award-winning non-fiction writer Lee Sandlin as guest speaker for their October meeting. The event is free and open to the public.

Sandlin’s work includes journalism, historical studies, music reviews for the Chicago Reader, and recently, contributions to the Wall Street Journal. His 1997 essay, “Losing the War,” has been part of university-level reading curriculum and adapted for broadcast on the weekly public radio show “This American Life.” Sandlin resides in Chicago.
