2020 Graduates: Important Survey Regarding Valpo’s 2020 Commencement Ceremony

Dear 2020 Valparaiso University Graduates:

Planning is underway to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of our spring, summer, and fall graduates. Our goal is to host an in-person ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020.

Valparaiso University is working diligently, in coordination with the Porter County Health Department to plan this ceremony in a safe and responsible manner.

To assist with our planning, please respond to this form no later than Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020.

Your response to this form is REQUIRED if you plan to attend the ceremony in person. The University must have an exact attendance number to ensure compliance with the current Porter County Health Department guidelines.

All attendees will be required to wear face coverings during the ceremony. Other required and necessary COVID-19 considerations include limiting the number of guests our graduates are allowed to bring, temperature checks upon entry, physically distanced seats, designated entrances and exits, and increased sanitation efforts.

Please note that a virtual option will also be available to graduates, friends, and family unable to attend the ceremony in person. The link to view will be sent closer to the event date.

Congratulations on your accomplishments.

Sincerely,

Colette Irwin-Knott ’81
