What’s Up Wednesday — Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020

Wednesday, September 16 – Saturday, September 26

If you’re going to participate in an activity, invite someone to attend with you. Sometimes people are too shy to go on their own but they’d like to participate. You might make their day by inviting them! If you are the shy one, challenge yourself this week to ask one person to hangout.

Why Participate in a Valpo Career Fair? — Discover internships and full-time jobs; learn more about a variety of industries, occupations, companies and job functions; meet Valpo alumni, make contacts, and get their advice; become known to employers, all of whom are seeking hardworking, motivated people like you; experience a welcoming, professional, non-threatening atmosphere. Here’s more info on how group and individual sessions work.

Mark your calendars for this year’s virtual career and internship fairs (held Sept. 17 through Nov. 6). Make sure your Handshake profile and resume are up-to-date, visible to employers, and be sure to register for the fairs in advance. Remember, companies that come for the engineering or health professions fairs also need accountants, training, human resources, communications, marketing, PR staff and more so don’t limit yourself based on your college/major!
