Stewart Cooper, Ph.D., director of Counseling Service and professor of psychology, was involved in two symposium presented at a virtual annual convention held a couple of weeks ago. Both of these symposium were selected by the central programming group of the American Psychological Association. The acceptance rate for these programs is low. One symposium focused on Telepractice as Opportunity to Advance Social Justice and Counseling Psychology. The other symposium focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Issues in Performance Psychology.

Kevin Ostoyich, Ph.D., professor of history, served as an editor for a new exhibition on the history of the Shanghai Jews that is being created by the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum in Shanghai, China. He is an inaugural member of the International Advisory Board for the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum.

Musa Pinar, Ph.D., professor of marketing and Paul H. Brandt Professor of Business, participated in a webinar discussion on the topic “Is Bodrum, Turkey, a Brand or Are We Kidding Ourselves,” moderated by Fatih Bozoglu of Bodrum Gundem, July 25, 2020, on Facebook. He also presented the paper, “Understanding Student Perceptions of their Personal Branding in Higher Education,” in the virtual Association of Marketing Theory and Practice 2020 conference.
