Valparaiso University Future Business Leaders of America (Phi Beta Lambda) Organization Members Excel at the 2014 National Competition

Magnificent Seven

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is the largest professional business organization in the United States. Valparaiso University students competed with over 2000 students from various colleges across the United States. College of Business students represented Valparaiso University at the highest level from an academic and professional perspective. Seven Valpo FBLA-PBL students competed in this year’s event held in Nashville, Tenn. The results include four National Champions and seven overall top ten finishes.

Nathan Hynek – 1st Place: Contemporary Sports Issues

Ryan Piaskowy – 1st Place: Statistical Analysis (Two-time National Champion)
1st Place: Computer Applications

Paul Yox – 1st Place: Economic Analysis and Decision Making
8th Place: Financial Concepts

Garrett Rietveld – 2nd Place: Computer Applications

Ben Crowe – 6th Place: Client Services
