Allison Urbanczyk Named May 2020 SEAC Employee of the Month

Allison Urbanczyk, interim registrar, has been selected as the May 2020 SEAC Employee of the Month.

According to one of her nominators, “Ali stepped in as the interim registrar, which is never an easy task. I have worked with her on several projects for her department and she always has included her team in all of the decisions and processes. She is very supportive of her team and believes in giving them the tools and resources to help them work to their best potential. I think that it is absolutely amazing that she has had to step in, and not only take over a department, but take over during a pandemic. She has put in countless hours to ensure that all of the functions of her office are still running smoothly. Again, this is a temporary position, but she has put her heart and soul into it.”

Ali was also recognized for her commitment to students and the student experience. “She has worked with OCI to get all of the registrar paper forms moved to eForms. Students may now submit forms at any time, from anywhere, and have them automatically routed to the correct person. They no longer have to run around campus trying to obtain signatures and wait while forms sit on desks. Students may now apply for graduation and order regalia online via a streamlined process. The registrar’s office is also working on enhanced student communications via Colleague. All of these examples improve the student experience and their time here at Valpo.”
