Valpo Artists Present Works Inspired by Nebraska

WHO: Valparaiso University student Grace Biermann ’21, Fred Niedner, senior research professor of theology, Aimee Tomasek, associate professor and chair of art, Ed Uehling, former professor of English, and Lee Johnson have all created works of art inspired by personal experiences in Nebraska.

WHAT: “Another Beautiful Day in Paradise: NEBRASKA” is an exhibit of visual art and creative writing. Each artist has a significant tie to Nebraska and has created work to represent these personal histories.

This exhibit is designed to be a collaborative experience with the Chapel community, various academic departments at the University, and the greater Valparaiso community.

WHEN: Exhibit dates: Sept. 8 – Nov. 5. Opening reception will be Sunday, Sept. 9, 3–5 p.m. A writers event will be Sunday, Sept. 23, 4–5 p.m.

WHERE: Chapel of the Resurrection and the Helge Center, Valparaiso University’s campus.
