Valpo’s Annual Soup Bowls for the Hungry Fundraiser is March 23
WHO: Valparaiso University’s art department will auction off original artwork at their eighth annual Soup Bowls for the Hungry silent auction. Creative, unique soup bowls and art created by Valpo students and staff are available for bid.
All proceeds will benefit Project Neighbors, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable housing to low-income families.
WHAT: The annual Soup Bowls for the Hungry silent art auction fundraiser is part of the Empty Bowl Project, a national movement in which potters donate income from their wares to worthy causes.
The event is free and open to the public. Free soup and cornbread will be served, and guests are welcome to try their hands at throwing a pot during the auction.
A raffle will be held for a portrait of the winner created by Abbey Bodine ’11, ’17 M.S., adjunct instructor in art and associate director of creative services in Integrated Marketing and Communications.

WHERE: Art–Psychology Building Room 27, near the corner of Mound and Linwood on Valparaiso University’s campus.
