How do I apply? When can I transfer? How do credits transfer?
Applying to Valpo is simple! With rolling admission, you can apply for the spring, summer, or fall semesters — whichever fits your schedule best. Start by submitting your application through either the free Valpo application or the Common App, whichever you prefer! Once you’ve completed your application, don’t forget to request official transcripts from each college or university you’ve attended. After that, we’ll take care of the rest! Our team will provide you with a transfer credit report and help you create a personalized plan of study, so you’ll know exactly where you stand and what’s next.
What is the cost to transfer?
At Valpo, we’re committed to helping you pursue your passions while making a smart financial investment in your future! The cost of transferring depends on several factors, but we offer a range of generous merit scholarships to make your transition easier. Transfer students can receive scholarships ranging from $22,000 to $25,000 per year based on academic performance. If you’ve completed your associate’s degree, you could also be eligible for the associate’s degree completion scholarship. We also have additional scholarships such as the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship to further reduce costs. Additional transfer scholarships for Phi Theta Kappa, associate’s degree completion, and other partnerships range from $1,000-$4,000. Learn more at valpo.edu/scholarships.

What is student life like for transfer students?
At Valpo, transfer students experience student life just like everyone else! Whether you’re living on campus or commuting, you’ll quickly find your place in our close-knit community. If you’re living in a residence hall, you’ll be part of a vibrant, supportive environment with opportunities to connect with friends and get involved. Transfer students are exempt from living on campus if they have completed at least four full-time semesters or if they qualify for one of the other exemptions.
