Recognized for Excellence: How Valparaiso University is Getting National Attention

Valparaiso University continues to be a beacon of excellence in higher education, receiving numerous recognitions and accolades from esteemed national publications. Recent lists released by U.S. News & World Report, Forbes Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and others have highlighted the quality of Valparaiso University’s programs and its impact on shaping the future of tomorrow’s servant-leaders.

Valparaiso University maintains its three-decade-long legacy of being recognized as one of the best choices in higher education by U.S. News & World Report. The University’s College of Engineering is consistently ranked among the top 15 undergraduate engineering programs in the United States. Additionally, the College of Business and the College of Nursing and Health Professions have been recognized in lists for best undergraduate business programs and best undergraduate nursing programs, respectively.

Other U.S. News & World Report lists featuring Valparaiso University include Top Performers on Social Mobility and Undergraduate Programs in Computer Science.

In addition to being recognized for the quality of its colleges and programs, Valparaiso University has been acknowledged by multiple sources for its overall excellence. The Wall Street Journal recently included the University in its list of Best Colleges in the U.S., and Washington Monthly placed Valparaiso University in its 2024 Top National University Rankings due to the institution’s significant contribution to the public good. Keeping pace with the evolving digital landscape, Valparaiso University was also featured on Online U’s list of Best Online Colleges in Indiana, praised for its flexibility, financial support, and student-professor ratio.

Valparaiso University has received multiple accolades for the value it provides to aspiring professionals. It was ranked among the top 50 in U.S. News & World Report’s list of best value institutions in the United States and was also included in Washington Monthly’s Best Bang for the Buck: Midwest list.

In other rankings and recognitions, The Princeton Review named the College of Business’s Online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program among the top 50 programs of its kind in the nation. Additionally, U.S. News & World Report ranked Valpo’s Online MBA in the top 21% of its Best Online MBA programs. The program was also honored with the “Best University to Obtain an MBA” award in the Northwest Indiana region by Northwest Indiana Business Magazine’s 2024 Best of Business Awards. Finally, Valparaiso University’s Online MBA was named to Money’s list of 2024 Best Grad School Programs, earning 4.5 out of 5 stars.
