Enjoy festive holiday music along with the Tree Lighting. Celebrating the season with song, Julefest features the Valparaiso Community/University band, plus the Luce Concert Band. The show is free and open to the public.

Christmas at Valpo: “O Come to Us, Immanuel,” Friday, Dec. 1, 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m., Chapel of the Resurrection
A night of music by the Chamber Concert Band, Chorale, Handbells, Kantorei, Vox Lucis, and Symphony Orchestra. Space is limited. Admission is free for students. Non-Valpo students can purchase tickets through the Valparaiso University Center of the Arts box office either online or in person Mon-Fri, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. while they last.

Enjoy holiday music played by low brass instruments. Participation is $10, admission is free.
O Antiphons Advent Services and Christmas Carol Sing-Along, Dec. 6–15, 10:10 a.m., Chapel of the Resurrection
The final days of Morning Prayer for the semester leading up to Christmas will be marked with “O Antiphons” Advent services — musical texts based on the titles given to Jesus Christ. Friday, Dec. 15’s service will also include a Christmas Carol sing-along. Worship services are in the Gloria Christi Chapel on the lower level of the Chapel of the Resurrection’s east end.

Valparaiso University will host Immanuel Lutheran Church’s 6 p.m. Christmas Eve Service in the Gloria Christi Chapel on the lower level of the Chapel of the Resurrection’s east end.
Christmas Eve Service, Dec. 24, 10 p.m., Chapel of the Resurrection
Valparaiso University hold a Christmas Eve Service at 10 p.m. in the Gloria Christi Chapel at the Chapel of the Resurrection. University Pastor Kate Museus will preside, with the organ played by Jihye Choi, visiting professor of music.
