Zhimin Lin, professor of political science, coauthored two more articles on the coming US election in a major Chinese current affairs online publication, The Paper. “Year 2020 for Donald Trump” was published on July 10, 2020. “76 Days Left, Will Trump Be Able to Turn Things Around” was published on August 18, 2020.

Mark Wagenaar, assistant professor of English, had his third book of poems, “Southern Tongues Leave Us Shining,” winner of the Saltman Poetry Award, featured on Poetry Daily. His fourth book of poems, “Small Time Paradiso,” is a finalist in the National Poetry Series, the winners of which will be announced in November.

Musa Pinar, professor of marketing and Paul H. Brandt Professor of Business, presented “Examining the Differences in the Relationships of the Private Label Brand Equity Dimensions across Brands and Cultures” at the American Marketing Association (AMA) 2020 Summer Academic Conference. 

Nicholas Denysenko, Emil and Elfriede Jochum University Chair and associate professor of theology, delivered a presentation for the theology panel during a webinar titled “The Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Communion Practice in the Orthodox Church” hosted by the Orthodox Theological Society of America on Saturday, August 22, 2020. 

Kevin Ostoyich, professor of history, will serve as the moderator for a panel discussion about the history of the Shanghai Jews, following a screening of the new PBS documentary Harbor from the Holocaust. Event details can be found here.
