Kevin Ostoyich, professor of history, has had the first two articles in his four-part “Rubble Child’s World: Stories from Bremen’s Ruins” series released by the American Institute of Contemporary German Studies of Johns Hopkins University. The series consists of the reminiscences of ordinary Germans of the end of the Second World War. Professor Ostoyich conducted the translation of the archival documents. The first article, “Rubble Girls,” was released on July 21, 2020. The second article, “Education for Boys,” was released on July 28, 2020.

Kimberly Jana Tomkiewicz, academic advisor and capstone coordinator for the MS in information technology program through the CIS Department, has been elected to serve as the secretary for the Indiana Academic Advising Network. Valparaiso University will be represented for the first time on this elected committee through Tomkiewicz.
