What is a Google Docs add-on? It is a feature that adds new functionality to Google Docs that it previously lacked. The purpose of an add-on is similar to that of a browser extension — to gain additional features. Add-ons can help you more easily create labels for mailing, improve grammar, add equations to documents, and much more! While there are a number of free add-ons, some do charge a fee. From any Google Doc, select “Add-ons” from the top bar next to “Tools” and then select “Get Add-ons” from that list. From there, a Google Marketplace window will open and allow you to search and browse available Add-ons.
