Valparaiso University Presents Lutheran Voices Lecture Series on Oct. 30–31

WHO: Valpo welcomes L. DeAne Lagerquist, the Harold H. Ditmanson Professor of Religion and chair of American studies at St. Olaf College. Trained as a historian of Christianity, Lagerquist has long been interested in the interaction of religion and culture. Her graduate work focused on Christianity in the United States, with particular attention to Norwegian-American Lutheran women.

WHAT: To commemorate Reformation Day 2019, the Lutheran Voices Lecture Series and Christ College Symposium on Healing present a talk titled “Works of Love: Sister Elizabeth Fedde and Service to the Neighbor.” The event is co-sponsored by Valpo’s honors college, the Valpo Core first-year program, and the University’s Center for Church Relations.

WHEN: 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30 and 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.

WHERE: Wednesday’s event is in the Chapel of the Resurrection, and Thursday’s event is in the Christopher Center Community Room
