Brauer Museum of Art at Valpo Welcomes Spring Exhibitions

Opening Reception is April 10

Valparaiso University’s Brauer Museum of Art will premiere its spring exhibitions with an opening reception and award ceremony on Wednesday, April 10, at 7 p.m. in the Center for the Arts on Valparaiso University’s campus. The exhibitions will run through May 12. All Brauer Museum events and exhibitions are free and open to the public.

The Valparaiso University Juried Art Student Exhibition features original artwork by Valpo students, who will showcase their work at the opening reception.

The popular Thursday Night Noir film and lecture series closes April 18 with a screening of the 1957 film ‘Nightfall.” Host and creator Peter Aglinskas brings this series back for its fifth season to discuss and explore four iconic movies from the classic film genre.

Throughout the season, the Brauer Museum hosts coffee hours and gallery talks with artists, curators and art collectors. Admission to the museum and its events is free, with donations welcome.
