Forbes Magazine Ranks Valparaiso University in Top Colleges

Valparaiso University achieves recognition by Forbes 2015 rankings as one of the top 50 colleges in the Midwest and regularly appears in Forbes Magazine’s “America’s Top Colleges” list.

Forbes partners with the Center for College Affordability & Productivity to rank America’s Top College, analyzing factors such as student satisfaction, graduation rate and academic success. Additionally, according to Forbes’ methodology postgraduate success and student debt are two of the most important measures of its annual ranking.

Schools that demonstrate excellent return on investment rank high on Forbes’ list. At Valparaiso University, graduate placement has exceeded 90 percent for 22 consecutive years, and Valpo’s student loan default rate of 4.4 is well below the national average of 13.7.

Valparaiso University’s outstanding graduate placement rate is possible with quality academics that are accessible to students at a reasonable cost. In total, Valpo annually awards more than $90 million to undergraduate students, with 93 percent of undergraduate students receiving financial assistance through grants and scholarships.

Valparaiso University moved up 14 spots to No. 47 this year. Valpo has also been recognized as ranking second among Midwestern regional universities in 2014, consistently appearing near the top of the U.S. News Best Value and Best Undergraduate Teaching lists.
