Valparaiso University Hosts United States Air Force Concert Band and Singing Sergeants April 7

WHO: The Department of Music at Valparaiso University welcomes the United States Air Force Concert Band and the Singing Sergeants.

The United States Air Force Concert Band, a symphonic wind ensemble and one of the finest professional concert bands in the world, presents more than 100 concerts annually and performs a wide variety of compositions from light classics, popular favorites, and instrumental features to classical transcriptions and original works. Its members represent the “best-of-the-best” in musical talent and education within the Air Force.

The Singing Sergeants, the official chorus of the United States Air Force, is one of the world’s most versatile and traveled choral organizations. Originally formed in 1945 from the ranks of The United States Army Air Force Band, the chorus has a long heritage of excellence. The Singing Sergeants have appeared before every chief executive of the United States since President Truman, and they regularly perform at events for the White House, State Department, Department of Defense, as well as for many other high-level military and civilian functions.
