Valparaiso University Dance Marathon

The second annual Valparaiso University Dance Marathon will be Saturday, Feb. 1, from 2-10 p.m., in the Hilltop Gym. The Valparaiso University Dance Marathon is a student-run philanthropy event that raises money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the surrounding areas. For 2014, the Valpo Dance Marathon will donate all proceeds to Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

At this time, the student planners are requesting information on the names of any patients and families who have received treatment at Lurie Children’s Hospital. One of the essential elements of Dance Marathon are Miracle Children/Families, and we are looking to add any families and children who are part of the Valpo family to this year’s event. These brave families are asked to share their story as to educate the Dance Marathon participants about the amazing care and research that takes place at Lurie Children’s Hospital.

If you know of someone who has been treated at Lurie Children’s Hospital, please let Dance Marathon representatives know. Interested patients and families may contact Meagan McCarver, director of family relations, at valpodm.family@valpo.edu, or Carrie Whittier (advisor) at carolyn.whittier@valpo.edu.
