Walk in Unity: A Self Guided Reflection

Event Overview

 ‘Walk in Unity’ is a week-long self-guided reflection designed to raise awareness and foster community support for survivors of sexual assault. Through interactive reflection stops across campus, participants will engage in meaningful activities, learn about the challenges survivors face, and take actionable steps to support healing and advocacy.

Date: April 9-16, 2025

Format: Self-paced walk

How to Participate

Steps to Join

  1. Register Online – Use the form above
  2. Pick up a walk kit – Get a physical kit in the “Center for Involvement at the Harre Union” or download the digital version sent to you via email
  3. Complete the walk at your own pace – Visit each stop between April 9-16
  4. Engage and Reflect – Scan QR codes, listen to stories, and participate in activities
  5. Share and Take the Pledge – Use #WalkInUnity and tag @valpocampusrec on Instagram to spread awareness at the end of the event

  • Create a take-home self-care kit
  • Learn about trauma-informed care
