Mental Health Trainings
We offer a variety of mental health trainings and workshops to students, faculty, and staff.
- MHFA: Mental Health First Aid is a 6 hour training course that teaches participant how to intervene and support others experiencing mental health distress.
- QPR: QPR is a 90 minute Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper training that provide information on how to provide immediate support and resources to those that may be experiencing significant emotional distress.
- Sex in a Fish Bowl: This one hour program allows participants to anonymously ask questions about relationships, sex education and sexual health and than have those questions answered by members of the Wellness Office.
- Stress management: Learn how to handle stress, manage your time, and learn how to cope with difficulties around balancing school with the other obligations in your life.
- Bystander Intervention and Affirmative Consent: Learn how to ensure you and those around you are being safe and respectful.
- Culture of Respect: Learn how to recognize and prevent behaviors that can lead to substance abuse, hazing, and sexual assault within your organization.
- Alcohol and Drug Training: Learn how to promote healthy behaviors, prevent or decrease the risk of alcohol poisoning, and support others that may need it.
- Hosting Workshop: Living off campus? Learn how to best protect yourself and others by learning risk management strategies and understanding current laws and policies.
