Jennifer Easthope

Ms. Easthope joined the College of Nursing and Health Professions staff in August 2023 and is an academic advisor for students in the Healthcare Leadership, Health Science, Public Health, and Physician Assistant programs. She has over ten years experience working at the University, serving as an academic advisor in the College of Arts & Sciences, then later with the Office of the Provost and Enrollment Management. She holds a master’s degree in Digital Media from Valparaiso University (Go Beacons!) and a bachelor’s degree in Arts & Humanities from Indiana University. (Though she’ll always consider herself a Boilermaker at heart.) Ms. Easthope has taught Strategies for Academic Success here at Valpo and brings objectives from that course into her advising, especially in helping first-year students during their transition from high school to college. In her current role, she works to support student success through relationship building to encourage personal growth, self discovery, and persistence through graduation. Ms. Easthope is currently a member of NACADA and Valparaiso University’s Council of Academic Advisors. Her on-campus training includes Safe Zone, Mental Health First Aid, and Search Process Advocate.
