Biography
Professor Stedman joined the faculty of the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program in the fall of 2022 as Clinical Assistant Professor, after five years as a guest lecturer and small group facilitator for physician assistant students in the greater Chicago area. Professor Stedman’s clinical areas of expertise are Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Geriatrics.
She began her medical career in 2009 as a Surgical Pathology Laboratory Technician and transitioned into direct patient care as a Certified Nursing Assistant in ambulatory surgery. She then attended Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science as a physician assistant student. She graduated in 2015 and began clinical work in the Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation setting. She has special interests in rehabilitation after hospitalization or injury, prosthetics and orthotics, and optimizing functional outcomes for those with chronic conditions.
Professor Stedman continues to work in the subacute rehabilitation setting in Northwest Indiana.
