Chamber Concert Band Tour Fall 2024
The Valparaiso University Chamber Concert Band will be hitting the road during the University’s Fall Break, October 10-13, 2024. Under the direction of Jeffrey Scott Doebler (Valpo ’87), the band will perform a concert of works that express the theme: “Choose Joy.” We hope you will come join us for an evening of music and alumni connection.

Worship service at 5:00 p.m. (featuring a chamber ensemble)
Concert at 6:30 p.m.
Concert highlights:
1. Premiere of The Book of Hebrews by William Repperger, director of bands (ret.) Lutheran High School South, with the composer attending.
2. Collaboration on one or two selections with Junior Winds (middle school band students from Lutheran High School South), and possibly have a few volunteers from Lutheran High School South Wind Symphony join VU Chamber Concert Band on one or two selections.
3. Performance of The Whistler’s Grace and/or Three Brazilian Folksongs by Katheryn Fenske, director of bands at DuBray Middle School, St. Peters, MO.
The CCB will also lead Sunday morning worship for two services:
