Corey Sansolo
Biography
Chicago-based trombonist Corey Sansolo enjoys a diverse performing and teaching career. He is a member of the Axiom Brass quintet and the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra, the director and founder of the DC Trombone Workshop, and adjunct instructor of trombone at Valparaiso University and Millikin University.
Corey has performed with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Grant Park Music Festival Orchestra, and Chicago Philharmonic. Additionally, he has made guest appearances as principal trombone for the Detroit Opera Orchestra, Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and Peoria Symphony Orchestra and performed at the Paramount Theatre for productions of Cinderella and Dreamgirls.
Corey received his Bachelor’s of Music Degree and Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music and his Master’s of Music degree at the University of Maryland.
