SMART Connections Program

We’re thrilled that you’ve chosen our university to continue your education, and we’re here to support you on the next steps of this exciting journey.

You are cordially invited to participate in Smart Connections, a free mentoring program designed to provide you with personalized attention and support as you navigate your first years of college.

Here’s what you can expect from the program:

Personalized Mentorship: You’ll be paired with a mentor who will help you navigate Valpo, make the most of the university’s support services and opportunities, and connect with faculty, staff, and other students.
Ongoing Support: Your mentor will check in with you regularly to ensure you’re having the best experience possible and advocate for you if needed.
Educational Guidance: Receive general educational advice and counseling to help you succeed academically.
Community Building: Meet and bond with other students going through similar experiences, and enjoy group activities. The program might provide a stipend for attending these group activities.
