MPRE Examination The Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) tests knowledge and understanding of ethical standards in the legal profession. Most states require passage of the MPRE before you sit for the bar examination. Each state has its own guidelines for when an applicant can sit for the MPRE and minimum passage requirements.
