Welcome Back – from Dean Lyon

Dean LyonWelcome back to campus for the 2015 Spring semester. I hope that each of you enjoyed the holiday season with family and friends and enjoyed some well-deserved rest and relaxation.

I want to extend my thanks to all of you who attended Sister Helen Prejean’s lecture last week. I’m sure you found her message on social justice to be inspiring, as I did, and I hope you all strive to answer her call to serve those in need, now as law students and in your future legal careers.

I continue to work with the faculty and staff here at the law school to address student concerns. I am happy to have been able to provide 24-hour access to the library, and I have been working with others to properly address the other student issues and needs that have been brought to my attention. I deeply appreciate students bringing concerns to me - please don't hesitate to reach out if you see room for the law school to improve.

Here's to another excellent semester!
