Discover Valpo Law Faculty News Professor David R. Cleveland, recently presented “Legal Writing Instruction in America: An Interesting (and Instructive?) History” at the Capital Area Legal Writing Conference. This presentation discussed the history of American legal writing instruction from the apprentice system of the founding era to the birth of the modern law school. This presentation served as a preview to a three-part series of scholarly articles, the first of which will be published in Legal Writing: The Journal of the Legal Writing Institute in 2014.
