LAW CONNECTION		December 2, 2013

Faculty News On Tuesday, November 19, 2013, Law School Professor Jeremy Telman presented a paper as part of a panel, Crisis in Syria: An International Perspective. The panel was organized by the International Law Students Associations of the Chicago area law schools and held at the Chicago-Kent College of Law. On November 14, Professor Jesse Bowman, delivered a CLE presentation entitled "Virtual Law Practice" to the Porter County, Indiana Bar Association. Professor Jesse Bowman’s article entitled "Using LibGuides to Help Teach First-Year Contracts" was published in the November 2013 issue of AALL Spectrum Online. Professor David Cleveland is co-editor of a new Appellate Advocacy Blog. The Blog will address a wide variety of issues related to appellate justice including appellate court advocacy and practice, principles of appellate justice, appellate court jurisprudence on current issues, and legislative developments affecting the courts. Admissions Fall Recap The Office of Admissions hosted 46 prospective students on campus this fall. The visit includes sitting in on a class, a tour of the Law School, and lunch with current students. A new open house was added in November as an evening event for all prospective students and targeting those that are working professionals; this will be repeated in January. Read More
