Faculty News The winners of the 14th Annual International Latino Book Awards were announced on June 5 at the Instituto Cervantes in New York City. Professor Bernard Trujillo's book, Immigration Law and the US–Mexico Border (2011, U. Arizona Press) (co-authored with Kevin R. Johnson) earned 1st Place in the Best Reference Book in English category. http://www.uapress.arizona.edu/awards.php. On Thursday, June 14th, Professor Jeremy Telman did a half-hour interview with Michael Gonzalez for his radio program, "Steel Shores" on WLTH, 1370 AM out of Gary, IN. Mr. Gonzalez had questions for Professor Telman relating to the U.S. Supreme Court's decisions to deny petitions for review of a series of decisions from the D.C. Jeri Pat Gabbert, Senior Major Gifts Officer for the Law School Jeri Pat Gabbert has accepted the position of Senior Major Gifts Officer for the Law School. Jeri Pat will start in this new position effective 1 July. Her office will be in the Career Planning Suite in Wesemann Hall. Jeri Pat is an experienced major gifts officer who has been with the Office of Institutional Advancement of the University since 2004 and has worked closely with the law school over the years on many gifts and projects. Jeri Pat will be responsible for developing our major giving program in both in the short term and in anticipation of a substantial campaign to commence within the next several years.
