The Language and Intercultural Learning Center facilities intercultural learning opportunities to support Valparaiso University faculty and staff development in the area of intercultural competence.
IDI Planning Group – Fall 2024
If you’re a faculty or staff member who has completed the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), you are invited to join a short term group to help you begin your IDI Plan. Details on the first IDI planning group will be announced in September.
Podcast Parlor – Fall 2024
Join other faculty and staff for an informal, bi-weekly chat about select podcast episodes about intercultural perspectives. You may attend any or all parlor chats, based on your availability and interest in the podcast topic. Details on Podcast Parlor will be announced in September.
Distinctive Program – Spring 2025
The center will design and facilitate one distinctive program for faculty and staff who have committed to further developing their intercultural competence. This group will likely meet throughout the spring semester. Details will be announced in late Fall or early Spring.
