LINC Studio

The LINC Studio is regularly used for intercultural learning, language interest groups, faculty and student meetings, along with activities that are generally related to intercultural exchange, language study and cultural enrichment. Activities sponsored by language students and faculty frequently take place in the Studio. In addition, all LINC student-led language interest groups meet in the Studio, most on a weekly basis.

Here, Alonrda, a LINC Spanish tutors, introduces Las Posadas, the walking and singing nativity tradition from Latin and Central America. She also taught participants the Spanish lyrics to the call and response song at the heart of this holiday tradition.

The Studio is located within the LINC center, in the Arts and Sciences Building on the main level, across from the elevators.

The LINC Studio has been specifically designed to support intercultural learning and language study by functioning as an open and flexible space that meets a wide variety of needs. The Studio serves as a multi-purpose space with study tables, a conversation circle, as well as eight computer stations and a technology cart and projector. The Studio is open and available during most weekday hours for all students seeking a gathering or study space.

The Department of World Languages and Cultures has established a policy regarding the use of the LINC Studio: LINC Studio Policy (updated January, 2024). Contact LINC Director Carol Goss if you have questions about the Studio.
