ihub makerspace
Coming Soon!
iHub Makerspace is a collaborative work space located at McMillan Hall where students can engage in knowledge sharing, creative learning and exploring, and ultimately making products utilizing a wide range of tools and technologies, varying from high-tech to no-tech, to facilitate innovation. These resources may encompass 3D printers and laser etchers to simple materials like cardboard, Legos, and art supplies.
The essence of a makerspace lies in embracing the maker mindset, which involves the process of creating something from nothing and nurturing personal interests. iHub Makerspace will offer an inclusive environment that cultivates the Design Thinking Process by bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds to build on each other’s ideas to solve problems. By providing hands-on learning experiences, fostering critical thinking abilities, and boosting self-confidence, the iHub Makerspace will empower individuals to develop entrepreneurial skills.
