Begin your profile registration and tell us some basic information. Then proceed to complete each tab within the application form.
Former students, who have missed two consecutive semesters (fall and spring), must complete the Readmission Application form.
Your reflective essay should should be two pages, double-spaced, and summarize:
- Why you are applying to Valparaiso University
- Your interest in the degree program
- How this program impacts your professional development
Applicants to our Clinical Mental Health Counseling M.A. program must submit a 4-6 page, double-spaced, essay describing their (1) academic background; (2) potential success in forming effective interpersonal relationships in individual and small-group contexts; (3) aptitude for graduate-level study; (4) career goals and objectives and their relevance to the program; and (5) openness to self-examination and personal and professional self-development.
Personal statement prompt for Physicians Assistant program:
Discuss your motivations for becoming a physician assistant, and explain why you chose the physician assistant career. Consider why you would be a good fit for the profession and highlight any personal and/or professional experiences and traits you find would support your pursuit of becoming a physician assistant. (Limit to 1,000 words max.)
Request two professional or academic recommendation letters to be submitted through our online recommendation form.
Applicants to our Doctor of Nursing Practice program are required to submit three letters of recommendation from three clinical peers/supervisors who can attest to their communication and clinical competence. Alumni from the Valpo B.S.N. program are only required to submit two letters.
Please submit transcripts from all institutions of higher education you have attended. Unofficial transcripts are accepted but official copies must be submitted prior to beginning classes. Valpo students and alumni are not required to submit transcripts except for coursework they have taken since attending Valpo. Transcripts can be submitted to grad@valpo.edu or mailed directly to the Graduate Studies.

PRIORITY APPLICATION DEADLINES
The following graduate programs have a priority application deadline and take in a limited cohort of students each fall. Application materials must be submitted by the corresponding date in order to receive priority consideration by the admission committee. Please contact the Graduate Studies if you anticipate completing your application after deadline but still wish to be considered for the current intake.

Upon submitting your online application, you will have the ability to upload your supporting documents to your personal status page. You may upload unofficial copies of your transcripts to your status page and still be considered for admission. Official transcripts may be sent to grad@valpo.edu. Mail physical transcripts to the address in our contact information.
