About the Department

The interdisciplinary nature of the geography and meteorology department, along with its welcoming and collegial faculty, gives students special insight into the interplay among natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities.

The Valparaiso University geography and meteorology department is home to the interrelated disciplines of geography and meteorology. The department also offers programs in American Indian studies and geographic information systems (GIS). The department’s programs make use of superb facilities and share a commitment to rigorous classroom instruction, mastery of technical skills, and extensive field work.
