Order of Omega
Order of Omega is a national fraternity and sorority leadership honor society for junior and senior members of the fraternity/sorority community. Members are selected in the fall and spring semesters based on excellence in leadership, academics, involvement, and service. The number of students allowed into Order of Omega is no more than 3 percent of total fraternity/sorority undergraduate students.
Order of Omega is involved in hosting community service projects, the Fraternity and Sorority Life Awards ceremony in May, and educational programs for the fraternity/sorority community.
“I chose to join Order of Omega because I wanted to be a part of an organization that recognized the highest levels of achievement in the most important aspects of fraternity and sorority membership — academics, service, and community.” Will Olson, Phi Kappa Psi, President of Order of Omega, Valpo Class of 2014
“I believe that being a leader in the fraternity and sorority community means stepping outside of your comfort zone, seeing the best in all situations, and wanting more for the entire community, not just your own organization. I believe that it isn’t about how many cords you get to wear at graduation because of the organizations you were involved in, but instead the opportunity to grow as an individual, to help the community grow, to learn from your experiences in your respective fraternity or sorority. It is all about living your values and the values that the entire community stands for each and every day.” Cailey Stancl, Order of Omega Secretary, Valpo Class of 2014
