Valpo Esports & RIG Gaming partner to Level Up Gameplay
Valpo Esports and RIG, part of NACON Gaming, have entered into a partnership for the 2022 – 2023 academic year. As part of the relationship, RIG will be outfitting the new lab on campus with headsets, Revolution X controllers, and audio equipment for broadcasting live events.
“Now entering our fourth year of the program, Valpo Esports continues to grow with over 50 students on the various competitive rosters,” said Tristan Leonhard, Director of Campus Recreation & Well-Being / Director of Esports. “This partnership with RIG/NACON will allow us to continue to build on the momentum of the last few years and propel us even further. Their group (RIG/NACON) has been amazing to work with so far and they are incredibly supportive of our overall development and future ideas.”
Supporting competitive teams in League of Legends, Smash, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, Hearthstone, and iRacing, Valpo Esports competes in the Great Lakes Esports Conference (GLEC), the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC), the Collegiate iRacing League (CIL), the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE), and various developer tournaments.
