The Torch

Who We Are

The Torch is Valparaiso University’s weekly newspaper focusing on telling stories both on and off campus. The student-run publication offers paid writing, editing, photography, and design opportunities for students of all experience levels. Editorial staff positions also provide a chance for students to serve in leadership roles for the organization.

“I think one of the biggest things that (The Torch) has taught me is how to be creative in the profession while also still being very professional. And also just how I can take skills that I have learned here with a campus newspaper and use them out in the real world.”
