The Lighter

Who We Are

The Lighter is the student-run literary arts magazine on campus. Students are able to submit four pieces of work for review. A Selection Committee then votes on each piece to decide which submissions are accepted into the book. The Lighter is released twice a year and features photography, poetry, short stories, digital art, physical mediums, and more. Students can get involved by submitting their work, voting on the Selection Committee, or applying for the executive board. This is a great way to help promote the arts on campus and be involved in something creative.

“Students should join The Lighter for so many reasons. It’s an amazing group of students to work with. It’s a great collaborative environment that lets you be creative. And it pulls on so many different mediums like: digital design, literature, books, prose, poetry, painting, anything and everything you can think of.”
