Minors

Students majoring outside of the CVA department can develop their skills and credentials through one of the department’s five specialized minors. Any of the minors can be completed with 15 credit hours of coursework.

ART

An Art minor is for students wanting to explore or refine their skills in studio arts or someone planning to incorporate studio arts into their chosen career. A minor in art can enhance careers in museum curation, book illustration, education, psychology, and much more.

COMMUNICATION

A communication minor provides students with a wide variety of skill sets valuable in practically any profession, including public speaking, written communication, visual communication, and rhetorical responsibility.

DIGITAL MEDIA ARTS

A digital media arts minor is for students in any career path who want to add valuable skillsets in video, audio, and graphics production, while at the same time learning the professional and legal requirements associated with digital content. Digital media art minors will learn how to use industry-standard hardware and software that are extremely marketable to any potential employee looking at your resume.
