Joseph Zart

Biography

Professor Zart joined the faculty in 2013 and teaches in the undergraduate program. He has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He has worked in various psychiatric mental healthcare settings, healthcare administration and managed care organizations. His psychiatric mental healthcare experience includes practice and administrative responsibilities in outpatient programs, residential facilities and acute care inpatient psychiatric hospitals. His psychiatric mental health nursing practice has covered the lifespan in serving children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients. Professor Zart has provided staff education and seminars on leadership, teambuilding, crisis intervention and CPR certification while working for Porter-Starke-Services and St Anthony Memorial. He received the Fred Skinner Award, the highest award Porter-Starke-Services presents to a member of management. He is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and serves as faculty counselor.
