Courses in the College of Arts and Sciences are taught by accomplished teacher-scholars who share their enthusiasm as well as their expertise with their students.

Ninety percent of the College’s faculty members hold the highest degree in their fields, and the faculty includes many distinguished scholars with national and international reputations. At Valpo, it is these scholars — not their graduate assistants — who teach students at every level from introductory courses to supervised research, and they share a rare dedication to the craft of teaching.
