Visiting Faculty Fellowship Program

The Visiting Faculty Fellows Program offers visiting faculty a chance to enhance their CV by getting to know the work of one department or office on campus. The Program began in Spring 2023.

The Fellowship can help visiting faculty to:

  • Enhance their area of research or interest
  • Add both a line to their CV and a possible new reference person
  • Show future employers that they understand how curricular and co-curricular programs work together for student success
  • Meet new colleagues who might help them with their career path

Here are the parameters of the program:

  1. The Fellowship program takes place during the Spring semester.
  2.  Each Fellow will receive a stipend of $500 (Limit of 3 fellows).
  3. Time Commitment:
    • Each Fellow works in a single area of the campus for the entire semester
    • The time commitment should average no more than two hours per week
    • The Fellows will also meet as a group one time per semester

  1. Academic Success Center
  2. Access & Accommodations Resource Center
  3. Library Archives

APPLYING FOR THE PROGRAM:

There is no application form for this program. Instead, each fall CITAL gets a list from the Provost’s Office of faculty who have the status of “Visiting” for that fall and spring. CITAL then invites all of those faculty to participate.  There is no application process other than saying “yes” to that invitation.

Past Visiting Fellows are allowed to reapply one more time after their first year for a total of two Visiting Fellowships.
