A 1992 American Studies and Political Science major from Valparaiso University, Mr. Spahn continued his education and graduated cum laude in 1995 from Valparaiso School of Law. Mr. Spahn is of counsel in Sidley Austin’s Chicago office representing institutional lenders, banks and corporations in the acquisition, disposition and financing of a variety of properties including office buildings, shopping centers, multifamily properties, industrial facilities and hotels. Mr. Spahn’s real estate finance practice includes the representation of banks and commercial lenders in connection with loan origination for CMBS, portfolio and mezzanine financings. Mr. Spahn also has an active practice representing both tax credit syndicators and investors in transactions involving the purchase and sale of low-income housing tax credits. Mr. Spahn and wife Heike are proud parents of daughter Rachel.
