Give to Christ College

Christ College has always paired exceptional coursework with a lively cohort outside of the classroom, and your support of the Christ College Dean’s Fund directly translates into community-building experiences for our students, faculty, and staff. No matter the size of your gift, Christ College traditions are sustained by the generous annual support of alumni and friends.

Christ College First-Year Production

First-Year Production

After more than fifty years, the First-Year Production has become both a CC institution and a professional leadership experience. Each year, the Production unites a cohort of scholars in this unique creative exercise. Gifts from the Dean’s Fund have gone to purchase new props and set elements for the Production, an original musical produced and performed by our students – and enhanced by your support.

Student Christ College

Student Research

More than 250 Christ College students have presented their research at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR). For many CC students, NCUR is their first taste of professional academic work, and we are grateful that Dean’s Fund gifts allow us to remove any financial barriers that might prevent students from sharing their work at NCUR. Your support of the Dean’s Fund on GivingTuesday 2023 supported conference travel to Long Beach, California, for the 2024 presenters.

Student-Giving Day

Pay It Forward Library

In 2022, Christ College established the Pay It Forward Library, which uses Dean’s Fund gifts to purchase books for students with financial constraints. Students also have the chance to learn and practice personal philanthropy by donating their own (gently used) texts. By making classroom materials more accessible for everyone, your support allows students to engage with the rich traditions of thought in our curriculum.

Faculty Development

Our faculty are dedicated to excellence in both scholarship and teaching, and the Dean’s Fund supports faculty professional development by sponsoring conference attendance and facilitating creative out-of-the-classroom learning opportunities, including field-trips and scholarships for study abroad experiences.

Fostering Community

Christ College also encourages community by bringing students together with faculty and staff for “Coffee in the Commons” every Friday morning. We know that one of the best ways to nourish a community is to feed its inhabitants, and the Dean’s Fund allows us to provide coffee in the Mueller Hall Commons for this weekly hub of conversation.
