“I want to take a moment to highlight the incredible work that Devon Watson has done to make Wesemann Hall a welcoming and supportive place for all students.

While ensuring the day-to-day tasks like snow removal and building clean up are running smoothly, Devon remains intentional about creating an environment that promotes peace and positivity for everyone who walks through the doors.

Her thoughtful approach extends to guiding the Access College for Success peer mentors as they update window displays and sharing fun and helpful information on the front table and bulletin boards. Devon actively seeks out ways to make students feel seen and supported, serving as a welcoming face and a consistent source of encouragement.

All of this is done while supporting three key programs that serve students and staff across campus—Access College for Success, the Bloom Scholars Program, and Beacon Academy. Devon also plays a key role in fostering collaboration, working closely with faculty, staff, and students from various departments to keep Wesemann Hall running smoothly and feeling like a true community space. She is always open to feedback and welcomes input on how to make the space even more inviting.
