Since she was in middle school, Ashley Velasquez ’25 always planned on becoming a nurse. When she began her academic career at Valpo, though, she realized just how much she missed the mathematical problem-solving of engineering. After switching into the College of Engineering’s accredited bioengineering program her sophomore year, Ashley has let her faith-based perspective on the field guide her into incredible opportunities
